Access to Personal Support
What is personal support?
Personal support is the help a 14-19 learner can get to help them reach their potential both as a learner and a person.
Everyone has the right to personal support but not everyone will need all aspects of the service. It can be as simple as someone listening to you talking through a problem or helping you with counselling on a one to one basis. It is very important that you speak to your Learning Coach.
How will personal support be provided?
Schools, colleges and Learning Coaches do have a list of personal supporters.
The service will be confidential except for Child Protection and safety issues.
Different levels of support will be provided depending on what is needed.
By giving you information you should be able to find the right personal support. A school / college, Learning Coach or other worker could help you to find the information aswell.
Personal Support will be provided from a variety of sources.
